Application Call for Participation to the Youth Voice Group Moldova

Youth Voice Group (YVG) is a consultative group of approximately 15 young people which brings local youth perspectives into World Bank programs. The main purpose of the initiative is to facilitate a permanent dialog with youth stakeholders and establish a mutual learning process for youth stakeholders and the World Bank in order to contribute new ideas and recommendations to improve World Bank programs for youth.

 

The World Bank Moldova office is inviting young leaders or active members of youth NGOs, aged between 16 up to 25 to apply for participation in the YVG. This initiative started in Lima, Peru and has had great success in Europe and Central Asia region, notably in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, and Turkey.

 

The YVG in Moldova will include young men and women from different country regions, from rural and urban areas, from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and youth with disabilities who want to participate in the implementation of different WB projects, especially those specifically targeting youth. The YVG will conduct different types of activities including trainings, consultations, field visits, research, information campaigns, and be involved in the implementation of different World Bank projects affecting youth etc.

 

Requirements:

• Interested and motivated to analyze youth problems in Moldova and come with recommendations;
• Leader or active member of youth NGOs;
• Working language: Romanian (English will be an advantage);
• The capacity to work in a team where people can have different visions on youth subject;
• Pledge to dedicate time and energy for YVG activities
• Responsible, creative and communicable;
• Age: 16- 25 years;
• Computer skills;

 

The World Bank will offer training to YVG members and will provide them with all information about the WB programs and activities.
