BANGKOK - The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) in collaboration with the World Bank organized a seminar on "Thailand: Investment Climate, Firm Competitiveness and Growth" at the Four Seasons Hotel. During this seminar, preliminary findings of the Thailand Productivity and Investment Climate Study were presented to the audience by Dr. Kazi Matin, the World Bank's Lead Economist for Southeast Asia. 100 participants from the private sector, government agencies, and the academia attended this event. The Thailand PICS was a joint study by the NESDB and the World Bank. The study drew conclusion from the survey of 1,385 firms throughout the nation on what they viewed as key constraints to doing business in Thailand. It also benchmarked Thailand’s investment climate with other countries in the region.
